Founder & Managing Partner

occasio group is led by Allan Miller, an investor and operator with more than 25 years of experience across business ownership, operations, and real asset investment.

He is a United States Marine Corps veteran, an experience that continues to inform his approach to leadership, discipline, and long-term responsibility. 

Following his military service, he earned a degree in Business Management from Colorado State University.

Prior to founding Occasio, he served many roles including as a Director at a large investment firm, where he was involved in evaluating and overseeing investments across multiple sectors, and as a Regional Manager at a national real estate development company, with responsibility for asset-level performance, growth initiatives, and operational execution. In addition, he has successfully acquired, scaled, and exited businesses, experience that informs occasio groups emphasis on disciplined growth and thoughtful ownership.

Across these roles, his work consistently centered on asset-intensive businesses, prudent capital deployment, and long-term stewardship—principles that directly guide occasio groups investment approach today.

Our name

Occasio (o-kah-see-o) comes from the Latin root meaning opportune moment, we chose it deliberately. 

Occasio reflects our belief that strong outcomes come from judgment, timing, and structure—applied patiently to opportunities with lasting relevance.
